OUR UNIQUE OFFER IS THAT BECAUSE WE ARE A SEA GOING RIVER BARGE WE CAN APPROACH MOST OF THE HARBOURS THAT DOT THIS COASTLINE BY SEA OR CANAL/RIVER.

THIS WINTER WE WILL BE MOORED IN AIGUES MORTES.

IT ADJOINS "GRAU DU ROI", WHERE ONE OF THE LARGEST TRAWLER FLEETS IN FRANCE IS BASED.  THERE ARE A MYRIAD OF LITTLE SEA FOOD RESTAURANTS IN GRAU DU ROI.  THE ANCIENT FORTIFIED ROMAN/MEDIEVAL TOWN OF AIGUES MORT IS TEN MINUTES UP THE ROAD,TUCKED BETWEEN THE SEA SALT MOUNTAINS, THE PINK FLAMINGO ETANGS (PONDS), THE CAMARGUE HORSES, THE BLACK CAMARGUE BULLS AND THE WINE CAVES.  IN THE PORT WE ADJOIN THE SAILING/WINDSURFING SCHOOL AND THE TENNIS. LA GRANDE MOTTE HAS AN EXCELLENT GOLF COURSE.

As a World recognised Nature Reserve the 80,000 Hectare "Camargue" Wetlands are liberally covered with Observer Hides.  These can be walked, jogged, cycled or horse ridden to.  This particular hide can be driven to as it is on the road to L'Epiguette Lighthouse.

Local Paella, Fresh Baked Bread and a Local Cotes de Nimes Wine can provide a simple snack.

Lunch is on it's way!  In the background is the 70's Chic "La Grande Motte".  These are luxury apartments not cheap holiday homes.  In these waters in 1542, Barbarossa anchored his fleet "to help" his ally François I.

You can choose Activity or Relaxation.

...with fine views such as the spectacular "La Grande Motte" rising from the low lying coastline, but framed by the mountains of the Massif Central that rise behind it.
